Oakwood House is a detached 1960s house set in large grounds and surrounded by trees. Previous extensions and a sprawling ground floor plan had left the house with a disjointed layout and an imbalanced appearance.

These challenges were addressed with a modest two-storey extension and comprehensive internal remodel. The new addition blends seamlessly with the original materials, making it difficult to distinguish from the existing structures. The final design honours the property’s original vision, restoring a sense of balance and cohesion while enhancing its connection to the surrounding landscape.
